A modern business website should be designed around the customer journey, with fast pages, real integrations and a maintainable security model—not assembled from interchangeable templates.

A modern website can be a booking system, a sales funnel, a client portal or the front door to a custom software platform. 360INT prioritises purpose-built websites and applications rather than WordPress templates or recommending PHP for new development projects. The architecture should follow the actual business requirements—not an off-the-shelf theme.

1. From static brochure to business experience

Start with the decision visitors need to make: compare accommodation, request a quotation, choose a product or manage a booking. The navigation, content and action flow should reflect that journey. A generic template often starts from a layout and asks the business to adapt its process to it.

For client projects, custom sections can connect multilingual information, enquiry qualification, interactive media, booking systems and CRM records. A good interface makes the next action clear without overwhelming the visitor.

2. What AI-assisted and vibe-coded development changes

AI-assisted development allows developers to prototype interfaces, generate implementation options and iterate on custom features faster. It can open up richer interactions, dynamic user journeys and domain-specific tools without starting every project from a conventional theme.

But 'vibe coded' is a process, not a security certification. Generated code needs the same—often more—review as hand-written code: version control, automated tests, secure authentication, dependency checks and threat modelling. Production quality is measured by the resulting system, not by how quickly its first version appeared.

3. Why 360INT does not propose WordPress template projects

WordPress can be appropriate for a carefully maintained publishing site, but a typical template-plus-plugins workflow introduces vendor dependencies, update coordination and configuration complexity. For 360INT's integrated booking, commerce, immersive and CRM workflows, a purpose-built application usually gives more control over permissions, performance and how data moves.

This is an agency architecture choice, not a claim that every WordPress installation is compromised. WordPress sites can be secure when core software, plugins, infrastructure and access are maintained by competent teams.

4. Where Webflow fits—and where custom development is more efficient

Webflow is an option when a client needs a polished marketing site, editorial pages or visual content workflows and values a managed visual editing experience. It can be useful for teams that want to make design and CMS changes directly without maintaining their own deployment pipeline.

For complex business workflows, however, a Webflow-first build can become less efficient. Custom booking journeys, advanced CRM operations, multi-role customer portals, external API integrations and sophisticated stateful interactions may require additional services, custom code and ongoing work around the platform's abstractions. Compared with a purpose-built application, the initial implementation and future changes can take longer and therefore cost more in agency development time, depending on the project.

Independence and portability matter. Webflow allows HTML, CSS, JavaScript and asset export on eligible paid Workspace plans, but its official documentation says the export does not carry over live CMS functionality, Ecommerce, account features, localized pages, form handling or search. A business relying on those services cannot assume a fully portable site simply by exporting its code. By contrast, a well-architected custom stack can be designed with separately owned data, portable repositories, documented APIs and replaceable infrastructure.

Recurring cost needs to be evaluated across the full setup. Webflow charges for appropriate Site plans, and some teams may also need paid Workspace access, localization, apps or third-party workflow tools. According to Webflow's published 2026 plan changes, its CMS tier was listed at USD 25 per month billed annually or USD 39 monthly, with other plans and add-ons priced separately. That does not establish that every Webflow site is more expensive than every custom site: custom systems also have hosting, maintenance, monitoring and development costs. For the type of integrated websites 360INT specialises in, platform subscriptions plus external workflow layers can increase the monthly bill and the cost of future changes.

The decision should follow a requirements and total-cost-of-ownership comparison. We can consider Webflow for a conventional content-driven website, but we generally recommend custom AI-assisted application development when the site must become a connected business system. Faster visual page assembly is not always faster end-to-end delivery.

5. Why modern architecture is about more than replacing PHP

PHP remains a supported language with many legitimate uses. 360INT does not recommend a new PHP-based architecture for its custom website projects, preferring modern application frameworks and serverless or managed services where they fit the requirements.

The security decision is not simply PHP versus JavaScript. Vulnerabilities can affect either ecosystem. Reduce unnecessary dependencies, maintain supported runtimes, isolate secrets and sensitive endpoints, and keep a reproducible deployment and rollback path.

6. Design for search engines and AI discovery

Modern application experiences still need genuine indexable HTML for important pages. Titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, visible FAQs, language alternates and clear internal links must be available without relying on a delayed JavaScript-rendering trick.

If a site depends on client-side rendering, provide genuine server rendering or a verified HTML delivery layer—not a fake prerendered shell that displays the same content everywhere. Measure crawlability and page performance after release.

7. Build integrations around ownership and source of truth

A website should not silently become a second CRM, booking ledger or product database. The website captures a validated request and sends it to the relevant existing business system. Payment status comes from the payment provider, booking capacity from the booking source, and contact ownership from the CRM.

Protect those flows with authentication, validation, least privilege, deduplication and retry handling. Confirm that the user receives a success message only after a request is durably stored.

8. Real project references

360INT has delivered digital projects for the Phuket Hotels Association and the PHAB Benefit Gala. The Kokosnuss Tours reference illustrates a travel-experiences website, while SiamStays demonstrates the breadth of a booking-platform workflow. Each reference should be evaluated for the features it actually contains; do not infer a security certification or a particular integration from a project card alone.

9. The project handover matters

Request code ownership, domain and hosting access, documentation, testing results, backup and rollback procedures, and the terms for future changes. Confirm who monitors dependencies and incidents. The ability to change a system safely after launch is as important as the visual design.

For Thai and international businesses, agree the required languages, legal/privacy responsibilities, accessibility needs and operational integrations before selecting a stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Webflow an option for a 360INT website project?

Yes, especially for a marketing-focused site with visual content editing. For complex applications and integrations we usually prefer a custom implementation after comparing setup effort, third-party services, recurring subscription and maintenance costs, and platform independence.

Does Webflow lock customers in?

Static page code can be exported with qualifying Workspace access, but hosted CMS functionality, ecommerce, localization, form processing and other platform features are not included in a standard code export. Migration complexity depends on the features used.

Does 360INT build WordPress template sites?

No. For new projects, 360INT focuses on tailored websites and web applications instead of WordPress-template implementations.

Is PHP itself insecure or obsolete?

No. PHP continues to receive security releases. Unpatched installations can be seriously vulnerable, as shown by the October 2026 critical RCE advisories. Supported versions and timely patching matter.

Is AI-generated code automatically safer?

No. AI-assisted development can accelerate custom work, but code still requires testing, security review, dependency management and monitoring.

Can a custom website integrate with our existing tools?

Often, yes. The integration must be scoped to the API capabilities, access permissions and reliability requirements of your CRM, booking system, commerce platform or other tools.
