Matterport Project Brief: Audience, Content & Conversion Checklist

By 360INT Experience Marketing · 2025-10-20

In this article: Matterport Project Brief: Audience, Content & Conversion Checklist. We examine what the topic means in practice and where it creates value for spatial marketing, operations or customer experience.

A practical commissioning checklist: define the audience, choose the capture scope, prepare content and confirm integrations before building a virtual tour.

Before capture, write a brief that connects the intended audience with the information and action they need. This checklist is for a hotel, yacht, showroom or venue team commissioning a Matterport tour or extending one with Xperio3D.

1. Define one primary audience

Name the person making the decision: a guest comparing room categories, a planner inspecting a venue, a broker presenting a yacht or a buyer exploring products. Record the questions that person must answer before contacting you. A tour intended for several audiences may need separate routes and calls to action.

2. Agree the capture list and access

List the rooms, decks, displays or event areas included, and distinguish representative spaces from areas excluded. Specify who prepares each space, when it is accessible and what must stay out of view. Capture records the physical conditions at that time; later renovations or changed layouts can require new imagery or a rescan.

3. Prepare the content register

For every information point, identify the source, owner and update frequency. Collect approved descriptions, photographs, specifications and translations before production. Mark examples and indicative prices clearly. Assign responsibility for maintaining any catalogue, room information or vessel data used after launch.

4. Specify the next action and integration

Choose the next step for each route: an enquiry, a booking-engine handoff, a product page or a supported checkout. Document the destination system, access permissions and data needed. Live availability or in-tour commerce must be checked against the connected platform; a visual walkthrough does not provide these functions by itself.

5. Define acceptance checks

Agree how the team will review mobile and desktop navigation, link destinations, translated content and enquiry delivery. Check that room names and product details match the business's current records. Confirm the capture date, model access, hosting term and update process in the handover documentation.

6. Set a measurement plan

Define the events worth measuring, such as opening room information, using a booking link or submitting an enquiry. Record the starting position and review results over a comparable period after launch. Separate measured outcomes from expectations, and attribute any published client result to its source.

What to send with your brief

Send the property or business location, capture list, audience, content owner, required languages, destination systems and preferred dates. 360INT can review the production scope and identify which Matterport and Xperio3D capabilities fit the project.
